Hello everyone, just a quick update. I'm doing fine, olympic college starts on the 19th.....YEAH! I've bought all my books, which only came to about 260.00 thanks to Elisabeth's generous loan of some math books....THANKS:)

We finished our cement pad, now we have a 40' by 40' concrete sport court in our back yard. I'll be finishing the basketball hoop later today. I'll invite everyone over sometime to play when its completely finished. Yes, even you in California and Idaho, speaking of which, Shafwiqua, have you completely moved yet?

This friday our family goes on vacation. We'll be going down to Astoria and then to some house on a the beach in Oregon which our grandparents' friends own. Its really nice because our family homeschools and my college doesn't start till the 19th so we can go after school is in.

I went to ultimate frisbee last monday, That was awesome.

And thats about all.....I'll keep you posted about anything else. Hopefully blogging goes up when we are all in our scool routine again. 16 days till international talk like a pirate day!!!!!!!!!

Well, hello everyone!
I have gotten tired of being greeted by an ugly monkey, and tired of the last post, so I will now update you as to the progress on my engine!......WITH PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

I put the camshaft into it.
I put the crankshaft into it.

I put the pistons into it.

I Put the timing chain and ataching sprockets on
I put the oil pump on.(the thing sticking up in the air)

I cleaned and put on the oil pan(and oil pan plug)

I put on the timing chain cover.(blue thing)

I put on the water pump.(silver thing) and the vibration dampner.

I put on the heads.

I put in the lifters and pushrods.(all the rods in the last pic)

I just put on the rocker arms.(and they are giving me trouble)
Next comes the Intake manifold.....

And I'm almost done!!!! I still have to find the right paint.

In other venues of interest, My dad has finished working on the boat's trailer. So hopefully we can take it out today YAY!!!!!!!

Edit: We just took it out and it runs great! It is a seventeen foot American runabout with an eighty-five horsepower engine. I ran it up to speed and we could definatly ski behind it!!

I have just come back from Boy scout camp in Cour'delane Idaho. It was the most Awsome camp that anyone in the troop has ever gone to. For starters, it was the last week of camp, so they were blowing the rest of their budget on good food and all sorts of fun stuff. Also the staff was all crazy because they all knew they would go home soon, so they just wanted to have fun. We all had much fun and I took the Motorboating, small boat sailing, waterskiing and shotgun merit badges. The first three of which are being put to good use soon:) Our troop organized an 80-90 person CTF game that was totally awsome, we canoed across the lake and slept overnight at an out-post 4 miles away, and we were the most awsome troop there. ahhh....so much fun:)

Anyways, I suppose that I should go now, and let you read this, so goodbye every one!!!!!!!!

Well everyone, I've officially started working full time this summer. I'm working with my dad in seattle, doing maintenance on about 6 residential/commercial buildings. That entails everything from painting to setting up wi-fi for tenents. So I'm writing this on the ferry again after getting up at 5:00 in the morning. Fun. Sorry if this isn't very well written, but I AM getting up at 5:00....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....oh, sorry, must have drifted off.....So I'll leave you with a picture of a geezer monkey. Ahhhh...South Africa....blue skies, palm trees, endless pleasures, and of course, the occasional decapitation of a head or two....

Anyway, I have just come back from a 50 mile hike through the olyimpic mountains, well, 44 mile hike. But we still get the 50 mile award because all the 5 mile practice hikes count towards the big one. Now follows a play-by-play acount of the trip as seen through the eyes of Beefloaf:

Day one-hike
Day two-hike

Ha ha....jk jk jk jk jk.......

Day before day one---I and my little brother go to the scoutmaster's house at 8:00 pm, We then sleep there with four other scouts so that our parents won't have to bring us there at 5:00 AM the next morning. While going to sleep, Beefloaf and The chief ninja pirate with a whisk(herafter known as CNP) play mortal kombat till both of us sucumb to the wiles of sleep at 1:00 am.

Day one---I wake up at 5:00 am and prepare to leave in the van. Snipermonkey and CNP are the only other senior scouts an the trip. The rest of the scouts are refered to as "mini scouts." So all the people climb into the van which has a trailer hitched to it. Total people=3 Adults+one driver+9 scouts.
So we all set out on this great adventure going 60 mph down the highway. Little do we know how much we shall appreciate vehicles powered by means other than us at the end of the trip. At about 10:00 we stop for breakfast at Dennys. I eat the WHOLE MEAL, knowing full well that this is our last real food in 5 days. We then travel to the trailhead and at 11:30 we leave Quinault on the North Fork Trail Powered by our own collective 22 legs.
After about 2 hours of hiking uphill we stop for lunch and then keep going......uphill. The senior scouts and one adult leader(007 hazard...see link to left) take off ahead and blaze a trail to the first campsite: Trapper. We then eat dinner and go to sleep. Total miles that day---about 8.

Day two---We wake up, we start hiking up a hill. And we don't stop travelling uphill except for two river crossings until we reach low divide .Where we see lots of snow and a BEAR!!! I then eat one of the best freeze dried meals: pasta primavera. We all proceed to go to sleep about a quarter mile from where we saw the bear. That night we all scare ourselves enough that no one can get the courage to go to the bathroom:)

Day three---We all wake up and relieve ourselves:) After the regular breakfast of oatmeal and hot cocoa, a snowball fight starts between the senior scouts and the mini scouts....senior scouts win. Everyone then starts hiking and yours truly blows on his whistle in order to frighten the bears away, not that seeing grann wouldn't, but grann was in the back:) After hiking for several hours we eat lunch and keep going till we get to another river crossing, this one is really easy. Not that the other ones were hard, but it was relitively easy. So we keep hiking through the the decidedly most beautiful part of the hike untill we reach......hmmmm....ah yes, hayes camp. There we met an old couple who are volunteer rangers and werer cleaning the trail. They had really funny stories:) So we then went to sleep and dreamed dreamy dreams.

Day four---We all get up and after getting the skinny from the rangers on which camps are best, we hike to elkhorn. There we have lots of fun and the senior scouts take a bath. I mean this in the most frugal sense of the word, because what we did was dunk ourselves in 32* F water, soap ourselves, and then dunk again. If anyone tells me they have been in colder water than I have I will never believe them. Then we all ate dinner and went to bed. Except the senior scouts. We proceeded to have tons of fun throwing branches into the river, then pushing 300 pound logs into the river, and finally breaking small rock on big ones in the river. We had a lot of fun. Then we went to bed and slept.

Day five---This was the last day so we all wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. We took of as soon as possible and ate lunch at a camp site. We then charged on until we arrived at the trailhead at 5:00. We were then picked up by the scoutmaster and we went to MC'DONALDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was soooooooo good. So we then got home and everyone is happy, except the bear, because he didn't get our food.

So all in all it was a very good hike, despite having feet that hurt. James brought his water purifier with him so we allways had good water, and there were more than enough stoves to go around.

So I end this post with a quiz result that I hope is very true, and if it isn't let me know so I can work on it.

Hello all, I'm back from Canadia!! My cousin just graduated from high school up there so I went to his grad ceremony and the dinner afterwards. My hand is doing pretty well now and I can type with it, so you all can read the wisdom that pours forth from my thoughts...he he;)

Hello, I'm typing this post with one hand because my right hand is sprained in the wrist.:(
I was playing basketball with some friends after church last sunday and as I was guarding someone he bumped me and (because I was already off balance) I fell backwards. I proceeded to perform a nice neat roll into a standing position, and noticed that my right hand was hurting a great hurt. he he. So I then proceeded to finish the game, (and win) with only my left hand. After this I saw the rest of the people start a game of ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!!!! and so I started playing with my hand still hurting. So after falling on my hand twice (ow!!) I won the game and went home.
So I ask all you peoples not to start athletic games when I am injured, because I will just proceed to kill myself....almost.

Well, as Antoine mentioned, I am contributing to the building of the world.

I went to Olympic College today, by bus, by my self, and without ANY supervision.
I went there in order to attend my running start advising meeting, as well as register for fall 2006 classes.
So now I am registered for English 101-spanish 101-Math 120-and Engineering 100.
YES!!!!!!
Thanks to James and Elisabeth I was able to discover which proffessors are the best, so I am satisfied with my classes.

Hmm...what else, sorry my thoughts are so unorganized.....I got my SAT scores, so that's good.

Well here I go.

I won't have time to post for another two and a half weeks so I'll post now.
I have applied and been accepted into running start at Olympic College, Sheduled an oreintation meeting and will continue my college career asap. This Saturday I take the SAT at the Bremerton OC campus. I'm working really hard on pretty much everything I'm doing, including my eagle scout project. Next tuesday I leave for New Mexico and will be there (without internet access) for 9 days. After that I'm going to be enjoying summer and finishing school. Homeschooling is awsome.

I GOT MY ENGINE BACK FROM THE SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, so I went to Seattle yesterday and picked up the block, heads, crank, and the engine kit frome Autosport Seattle. Where I purchased everything about 3 weeks ago. And now for the pictures!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the block, which is all nice and clean, shiny, and REBORED!!! The camshaft bearings are allready in the block but otherwise I will do everything else, including painting it. Most likely I will paint each peice separately and then put it all together, see how it looks, and then decide if it needs another coat of paint.

the top hole is where the crankshaft goes and the bottom one is for the camshaft.

Now for the heads. This is the bottom side of both heads, with all the valves. I was able to save two valves on each head so the cost was a little less.

Here is a close-up of a few valves, all SHINY!!!!!!

And here is the top of one head, sorry about the foot, but I didn't have time to take another.

Here is the crankshaft, all clean and balenced so that it will run perfectly.

Here is the box of parts, The eDirect box is the timing chain components.
The box below it is the piston ring box.
The one below that is the oil pump.
The plastic bag has all the rocker arm and pivots in it.
The brown paper bag has synthetic sealer, super lube, and adhesive in it.
the thin box to the left of the paper bag has the oil pump drive in it.
The big long box that says "CAMSHAFT" has the camshaft in it. hee hee.
And below that box are the piston journals and the crankshaft bearing journals.

Here are all the pistons, nice and SHINY, and they are alluminum, as apposed to the old cast iron ones.

Here is a close-up of one piston head.

Here is one piston with the rings on it on it's side.

Here is the performace camshaft, the guys at the shop said it would be a lot more fun to drive than the old regular one. Besides, I needed a new one anyway.

And here are the gaskets, I got a whole kit which contained 40 different gaskets, sealers, and cork gaskets.

So now you have seen my engine in peices, and in about a month I hope to have it completely back together and SHINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I turned 17 today.

I suppose most people feel old when they turn 18, but not me. I really feel old now. I think it's because of all the responsibility that is going to be heaped upon me in the next year, and the knowledge that I have a lot more control over my life now. Since I start college this fall, I am ahead of the curve in the school area of life, and this combined with all the big choices I'm making nowadays, really makes me realize that my fun, carefree childhood is gone. Sure, I'll still go on boy scout trips, go out with my friends, and have fun, but now I am responsible for my self, my study habits, and pretty much everything. As my dad has joked, If I leave the house the police don't have to bring me back! Heh, won't do that though.
But don't let this gloomy start to the post make you think I'm going to be a dried-up adult from now on, HA! I intend on having lots of fun this coming year and stay in touch with all you people.
Well, I think I have to go now, so goodbye everybody, and I hope to post again soon.

Well I just got back from the accuplacer test.

I DID FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, considering that I completely flunked the math section the first time I took it, and the time that I spent afterward studying my elementry algabra, I better have done well.

So I'm happy, I placed into english 101, math 119, and math 120, which means that my dad is happy, and that means that I am happy!!!!!

And about that flunking thing.....I have not studied elementry algebra in about two years, all that I have been studying is trig and REALLY advanced algebra. So I thought that the test would test the last things I studied. HA!!!!! So when the test asked me a bunch of the stupidest questions, I couldn't even figure out how to bring variables up and down in a fraction.

Pathetic.

But today I did much better, pretty much aceing every thing except the college level math, which I got about 75% on, but then, why else would I go to college except to learn college level math?.......and chemistry/physics.

So I just wanted to share that with all you people out there, and hopefully this fall I shall join all you other running starters at olympic college!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, Elisabeth, I'm trying to figure out transportation means to the Bremerton campus, I assume thats where I'll be going, and I heard that you bussed there for a while, could you let me know what you actually did, Or at least point me to a website with relevant info? Thanks.

Of Pudding and Mooses

Well here I am back in The good old US of A...EH?

I went to canada last week and had a good time , ate chocolate moose, and yeah I know that's not how you spell it. One of my cousins is graduating from high school this year so my parents, sister and I went to a fund-raising dinner put on by the graduating class. It was real good despite some long waits in between courses due to some problems in the kitchen. But otherwise the food was real good. Good= Yorkshire Pudding. :)

In the school area of things I have been offically accepted into Olympic college, received my SID, and have scheduled an accuplacer test for next tuesday. In the meantime I have been studing for the SAT, and my life has been full of studystudystudystudystudystudystudy...........on top of the regular workload.

On a lighter note, my car's engine is due back from the shop in about a week or two, and I shall be sure to post pics.

O yeah, that reminds me, Two weeks ago we rented a John Deere 490 E Excavator, and knocked over about 15 trees...MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Last week I left on thursday with my Boy Scout troop for Astoria W.A.
We took our bikes with us and spent many long hours riding them on the bunkers of fort Stevens.
The pool at the KOA where we stayed had so much chlorine in it that my eyes started hurting as soon as I got in the pool. And the hot tub was fine so long as certain little annoying scoutlings{That's what we, ( the older scouts) call the younger scouts} didn't turn on the jets. .

Lets see...
I got home on saturday at 2:00pm and then had 1/2 an hour to pack, have a shower, and leave on my international dancing trip.

INTERNATIONAL DANCING TRIP!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yes. For all you who I haven't told yet, I joined Poulsbo's Son's of Norway Norwegian dancing group about 6 weeks ago. I'm in the highschool group (grades 9-12) and I had 5 weeks to practice about 12 diferent dances before we went to Canada. The group meets every monday and so far it has been really fun, not to mention that I am actually learning to dance, which I can see as a big advantage in the future.

Any how, we went to Vancouver Canada on saturday and came back on monday, after doing about 9 performances for assorted rest homes, schools, and the Sons of Norway lodge.

Well I have to go now, Lots of school work is calling my name, so check out that ninja site and Go light something on fire.

Let me just tell you that whenever I start thinking about that referee I want to tackle him as hard as I can and then pound his face into the ground so hard it would become one with the ground!!!

I don't know how many of you watched the superbowl, but I went to my friends house and watched it on a big screen. Thus I saw every single moment of it and I KNOW that if the referees hadn't been playing favorites the Seahawks would have WALKED ALL OVER THE STEALERS!!!!

And yes I spell thier name with an "A" because that is exactly what they did. They stole OUR TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching that game was so frustrating because every time the Seahawks made a touchdown the refs would MAKE UP A REASON TO FLAG THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THREE TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then when the refs GAVE THE STEALERS TWO TOUCHDOWNS THAT THEY DIDN'T MAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here I am... Sitting at the library because the power is out at our house.

In fact. The power is out in the entire town of poulsbo.(except the library)

And the power is out in probably every other town around the puget sound.

The reason for this, is that last night a storm moved into the puget sound that had gusts of wind up to 50 mph!!!! On our property we had about 8 trees fall over, luckily not on the house,:).
So I am at the library typing a post for the only blog that seems to be active right now.(hint hint)
Now for the news.

I am going to be taking my engine into Seattle auto sports to be cleaned and re-honed this monday.
On thursday of this week I went with my dad to the Town Hall in seattle, to hear Paul Bremer give a talk on what he did in Iraq when he was named Director of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance for post-war Iraq following the Iraq War of 2003.

Here is how to listen to the music on my blog...and any other blogs.

1: Determine if you have quicktime player. If you don't have it-get it. If you do have it then you can skip to the next step.

2: Open quicktime player-(preferably version 7, but most versions will have the same buttons).

3: Click on the "EDIT" drop box (next to the "file" drop box).

4: Click on the "preferences" button and a sub-menu should pop up.

5: Click on the "Quicktime Preferences" button. This should open up the "settings" window for quicktime.

6: Click on the "browser" tab.

7: Click on the "MIME Settings" button.

8:This should open a second window called, "MIME types".

9:Now click on the check box for, "MP3-Mpeg layer III movies and streams". This check box should now be "checked".

I just finished two more models, thanks to donutmunkey's willingness to part with the kits.
One is a 1937 Ford Vickie Phantom--It came pre-painted so it only took 3 hours to put together.
The other is the wright brother's plane, complete with over 6 feet of rigging.
I don't have any pics right now because my parents have gone to arizona for a week and have taken the camera with them.

Speaking of trips...Camp Shepard was great!!!!.....KISKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello every one........I am just quickly saying something.......uuuummmmmmm.......

Whatever.

Here are some pics of some of my models.

This is the very first model I ever made. My dad helped a bit but I was only about 9 at the time.

Here is the latest complete addition to my model collection. It is a Hawker Hurricane and the kit cost about 90 bucks at the model shop. Although it cost that much it was all birthday money and I needed a project for the summer. It was the most complicated (about 300 piece) model I have put together, but because of that it was the most fun to put together. If you have not guessed, I really like putting together models. Sorry for not putting any scale in the pics, but the ship is about 8 inches high and the plane has a 14 inch wingspan. That is really big for a model airplane.

I guess that's all for now and I'll get back to blogging soon.

Hi everyone...*pant pant*

I have come inside after bouncing on our trampoline with myself.

whatever.

We (the family) just received a 14' trampoline for Christmas because a lot of the relatives(thanks moonstone!) decided to pitch in and buy us a very good quality trampoline. Thus I have just come in after completing a lot of somersaults and plain old bounces. And I managed to land on my feet again on two forwards somersaults...*arm pump* YES!!!!!!

Other than that I am going roller skating with my friends tomorrow and I shall give them their presents and have lots of fun.....

Hello my dear and veeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyy patient peoplzzzzzzzz.

I have made you wait such a long time for a new post so I should, and will, give you some nice long tidbit(s) of information.

I have been very busy.

I have been preparing for my first quarter tests in all my subjects and consequently that sort of takes precedence over most anything else………that reminds me… I better start studying that book I have on taking the SAT……….buuuuuuuuut not till I’m done this post.

I have been paintballing and it is so totally AWSOME!!!!!!…….. AND FUN!!!!!!!!!!

I have a paintball gun but I don’t…. I know that is confusing so let me esplain…yes I misspelled that on purpose…. My parents wanted to get me a gun (marker) for Christmas so they told me to find the best deal online that I could. I found, (with snipermonkey’s help,) a piranha Bottom line G2 for $30 and they are usually more like $70 so I immediately told them about it and they ordered it. The nice big package got here a week later and it now resides somewhere in the place where moms keep presents until Christmas…..their room. When it got here they told me to test it once to make sure it worked, so I shot it a couple times and then it disappeared into that room ……..POOF!!!!

So now you know why I have a paintball gun and why I don’t have a paintball gun.

The work on the engine is going slowly but surely and I hope to have the pistons out next week (I would have them out this week but I have all my quarter tests to do as well as a nasty book report) …back to my car.

But now I need that ridge reamer to take the ridge off the cylinder walls before I can do anything else.

For all of you engine illiterate people I will try to esplain what a ridge is…… Imagine a block of solid steel, that’s the engine block. Now imagine that there is a hole 6 inches wide going right through that engine block, that’s the cylinder. Now imagine running your finger along that round edge of the hole and cutting yourself on the edge. Don’t scream, it’s only imaginary but now you know what part of the engine I will be talking about. Now re-imagine that edge, only now think of the quarter inch of cylinder wall under that sharp edge…got it pictured? … Good. Now when the engine runs, the pistons go up and down in the cylinder…right? …Good. When that piston goes, it rubs against the cylinder walls all the way up and down except for a quarter inch at the very top, right under where you cut yourself. This quarter inch of un-rubbed steel is thus a little bump at the top of the cylinder wall and is only like a hundredth of an inch thick. But if you try to take the piston out without taking of that bump, (ridge), you will completely destroy the piston rings which can get very expensive. Well I hope you understand what I’m talking about.

Ok I think I am done……. NOT!!!!!!!!…..Will continue in next paragraph.

I am in my junior year of high school and I have a lot of schoolwork.

I have 6 subjects and I will now innumerate them all.

Math- I am doing the Saxon brand Advanced Math book and it isn’t that hard (only because I love math. I know people who can barely understand the book) except that it was made to be done in two years but I am going to try get it all done in one year….crazy me.

History-I have about four books this year for my history course and they are all about the evils of communism. Right now I am reading the Naked Communist by W. Cleon Skousen and it is really cool how he put together the chapters. Let me say right now that you will not get any “thrills” reading this book, the title only implies that you will see the teachings of communism without anything hiding them. I am also reading another book on the year of 1917 and everything that happened during that time but it is really stupid.

Science-Explosions!!!! Well not quite yet…

I am going through the chemistry book by Jay L. Wile, Exploring Creation with Chemistry, and it is really fun and amazing. He goes through all the high school chemistry but it is so easy to understand.

Literature-Yelch!!!!

Frankly, I don’t like artsy type subjects; literature, languages, history and all of those liberal arts type things, maybe because liberals like them….hahahahaha…. all right I’ll be quiet.

I just finished reading Come Rack Come Rope, It is a very well written book about a few catholic priests in the time of Queen Elizabeth the First and they eventually die as martyrs but it is a really neat to read. I now have to write a book report on it so that stinks… sorry if I offend you with my language…hehe.

Public speaking-My parents are making me go through this book about public speaking and it tells you to do a different type of speech every week. My dad is also going to join Toastmasters and he is going to drag me along to, although the one meeting I did go to was pretty neat.

Religion-I’m sure you all know what this is about…studying your religion is a very good thing to do.

Let’s see… anything else to talk about?…….. O yes, I also have the New SAT book by Princeton Review because I am going to take that next year…something else to study L

Hmmmmmmmm… what else… ahhh! The only foods I don’t like are eggplant and squid…seriously…one of my favorites is liver and onions…actually…I don’t think I would like to eat any foods like…heart… or tongue…or sweetbreads…Bleach!!!!

Otherwise I will eat pretty much anything.

YES!!!!! Midnight club 3 DUB edition just came down to $30…THAT IS SO TOTALLY AWSOME!!!!!!…That means I can afford to buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music…=…my life…well …a lot of it…Since I home school I listen to music while I work but my mom has problems with anything that isn’t classical or Gregorian chant, so during school time I listen to classical…it is actually not that bad…Ramstine is better.

It is a diamondback Assault EX and it cost about $400 brand new. Of course if you new me really well you would say, “What?! Beefloaf bought something that was brand new???? Well I didn’t buy it brand new. One of my friends from church had a neighbor who was selling the bike for $150 but that was too expensive. The next week though my friend told me that his neighbor had lowered the price to $50. PICK MEEEEEEE!!!!

I bought it. Now I am the proud owner of a bike that is in almost immaculate shape and which is nicer than anyone else’s I know.

And the lesson learned from that is that the best deals are not always on the internet.

This is like the first post in a long time but sadly I have little to report.

My car engine overhaul is going slowly because I need a harmonic vibration dampner puller and I just need to go rent one. My mom said she will be going in the direction of the rental yard tomorrow so she can get it then.

I finally fixed our computer; I installed firefox and then snipermonkey gave me some plugins for it and as soon as I had installed them it messed up. Every time I would open a program the whole desktop (icons, taskbar, everything) would dissapear and just the background picture would stay.....AAARRGGHHHH!!!!!!

So instead of smashing the computer I just restored the system to the point in time before I installed the pluggins......YYYAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

Ever since I took up card throwing it has hurt.

It’s HORRIBLE!!!!!

Actually it’s not that bad…..But throwing those cards does make one certain muscle in your arm really hurt after a while, ask Snipermonkey if you don’t believe me.

Well I think that I’m going to have to blog less often because my parents think it’s a complete waste of time. I love blogging. It is like totally the bee’s knees, the cat’s paws, the banana’s pajamas, sorry…. I don’t know what that meant.

AHA!!! Now I remember…. About 10 years ago, there were commercials on the telly about these stuffed teddy bears…. Only instead of bears they were bananas in pajamas…. The theme song was really annoying. Does anyone remember seeing those?

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

I am a senior citizen.

During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying job.

I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for the worse.

This is an actual letter sent to a man named Ryan DeVries by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, State of Michigan.

Dear Mr. DeVries

It has come to the attention of the Department of Environmental Quality that there has been recent unauthorized activity on the above referenced parcel of property. You have been certified as the legal land owner and/or contractor who did the following unauthorized activity Construction and maintenance of two wood debris dams across the outlet stream of Spring Pond.

A permit must be issued prior to the start of this type of activity. A review of the Department's files shows that no permits have been issued. Therefore, the Department has determined that this activity is in violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, annotated.

The Department has been informed that one or both of the dams partially failed during a recent rain event, causing debris and flooding at downstream locations. We find that dams of this nature are inherently hazardous and cannot be permitted. The Department therefore orders you to cease and desist all activities at this location, and to restore the stream to a free-flow condition by removing all wood and brush forming the dams from the stream channel. All restoration work shall be completed no later than January 31, 2003.

Please notify this office when the restoration has been completed so that a follow-up site inspection may be scheduled by our staff.

Failure to comply with this request or any further unauthorized activity on the site may result in this case being referred for elevated enforcement action.

We anticipate and would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter.

Dear Mr. Price,
Re: DEQ File No. 97-59-0023; T11N; R10W, Sec. 20; Montcalm County.

Your certified letter dated 10/17/02 has been handed to me to respond to.

I am the legal landowner but not the Contractor at 2088 Dagget, Pierson, Michigan. A couple of beavers are in the (State unauthorized) process of constructing and maintaining two wood "debris" dams across the outlet stream of my Spring Pond.

While I did not pay for, authorize, nor supervise their dam project, I think they would be highly offended that you call their skilful use of natures building materials "debris." I would like to challenge your department to attempt to emulate their dam project any time and/or any place you choose.

I believe I can safely state there is no way you could ever match their dam skills, their dam resourcefulness, their dam ingenuity, their dam persistence, their dam determination and/or their dam work ethic.

As to your request, I do not think the beavers are aware that they must first fill out a dam permit prior to the start of this type of dam activity.

My first dam question to you is: (1) Are you trying to discriminate against my Spring Pond Beavers or (2) do you require all beavers throughout this State to conform to said dam request? If you are not discriminating against these particular beavers, through the Freedom of Information Act, I request completed copies of all those other applicable beaver dam permits that have been issued.

Perhaps we will see if there really is a dam violation of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resource and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being sections 324.30101 to 324.30113 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, annotated.

I have several concerns. My first concern is -- aren't the beavers entitled to legal representation? The Spring Pond Beavers are financially destitute and are unable to pay for said representation, so the State will have to provide them with a dam lawyer.

The Department's dam concern that either one or both of the dams failed during a recent rain event causing flooding is proof that this is a natural occurrence, which the Department is required to protect.

In other words, we should leave the Spring Pond Beavers alone rather than harassing them and calling their dam names. If you want the stream 'restored" to a dam free-flow condition please contact the Beavers. But if you are going to arrest them, they obviously did not pay any attention to your dam letter they being unable to read English. In my humble opinion, the Spring Pond Beavers have a right to build their unauthorized dams as long as the sky is blue, the grass is green and water flows downstream.

They have more dam rights than I do to live and enjoy Spring Pond.

If the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection lives up to its name, it should protect the natural resources (Beavers) and the environment (Beavers' Dams).

So, as far as the beavers and I are concerned, this dam case can be referred for more elevated enforcement action right now.

Why wait until 1/31/2003? The Spring Pond Beavers may be under the dam ice then and there will be no way for you or your dam staff to contact/harass them then.

In conclusion, I would like to bring to your attention to a real environmental quality (health) problem in the area. It is the bears!

Bears are actually defecating in our woods. I definitely believe you should be persecuting the defecating bears and leave the beavers alone.

If you are going to investigate the beaver dam, watch your step! (The bears are not careful where they dump!)

Being unable to comply with your dam request, and being unable to contact you on your dam answering machine, I am sending this response to your dam office.

In other words my engine is going to be a good old gas guzzling Rumbler-----I have no idea how to spell that word.

The engine rebuilding is going great and I'm taking off the heads right now. They're going to be the most expensive parts of the engine to replace-about $200 each- after them off comes the oil pan and then the crankshaft. I'm just going to get rebuilt heads ( off the shelf).

I have a picture!!!!!
For all of you uneducated fans of me out there my picture is a McLaren F1 and it goes like allmost 400 mph........dont try driving one the fool!!!---just kidding I'm sure your a great driver but still please dont try driving one.

For all those who are still waitng for a report on my mustang sorry for not writing anything but it's going great! HERE WE GO!!!

My 1971 mustang is in many pieces.

Right now I've gutted the interior out and the engine came out this weekend so I'll be rebuilding the engine this winter.

The whole car is in great shape because it was driven in california for most of it's life and consequently there is very little rust, which is nice!, the only major rust is where the heater and A/C atatched to the air vent behind the dash. But that's nothing a little rust killer and bondo won't fix!!

The body though is interesting. The driverside fender has a few dents in it and the door on the same side has a major crease in it. Other than a few little dents here and there that side is fine.
The other side is pretty good and all there are are a couple small marks. Everything considered all I need to fix the body is BONDO!!!!...........wonderfull stuff.

I've coated the floorpan with rust stopper--I use POR 15-- I've heard it's good.

The trunk is coated with the same stuff and the interior is pretty much ready to be painted.

I'm going to paint the interior flat black and the exterior a really nice metallic blue.....please don't tell me what color to paint it because I'll ignore you.......donut guy can say whatever he wants because I ignore him anyway.

The car has about 65000 miles on it.

This restoration is going to cost a lot so don't expect it to go very fast........although donations wont be turned down!

This is my second blogging session and I actually thought of something to write. I would have written about my car except that I don't have enough time. So I'll say something different.....

We went to the fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family decided to go so I took a friend an the first thing we went on was the zipper-not smart. That -added to the jumper and the inverter-made me sick. So for the rest of the day we played games and walked around.

Car wax does take off permanent marker.

But that doesn't matter because this one lady doesn't mark yore alienade bottle.

I also helped my siblings win prizes.

But the crowning moment of them all----I WON A HAT!----A BIG HAT. It's red and yellow and totally awesome.

Hello everyone! This is officially my first ever post anywhere. My name is Nathan Marlow and I dont really know what to write.

The main reason for this blog is my car. I have a 1971 ford mustang that is currently in pieces and I needed a place to tell people about it.

I am a member of boy scout troop 1577,I like paintballing, pyrotechnics of any sort, music, video games and chemistry.
